Hi Fab. Just to inform you that I have FINALLY received my boards today – thank you very much – they look very very nice indeed. A process that should take no more than 3 weeks, took 3 months. The problem was at our customs. I do not know if it was deliberate or plain incompetence, but it took many emails from my side to get the parcel released. But - better late than never, they say.

Now to start collecting parts. I already have the Sanken Darlingtons from Digikey. I slipped them into an order for another project. This was the first time I ordered from Digikey and I am very impressed with them. Not only are they slightly cheaper than other suppliers (Mouser, RS) I used before, but just the way their Shopping Cart works is so nice and easy to use.

This amp build will be a longer-term project for me, but I will report back and ask questions on the main USSA-5 thread. The latest build by Amadeus00 (Post #1705) is simply a stunning piece of audio artwork!

Hi Twocents
Thanks for the feedback and appreciation but sorry for the customs delay...

Indeed Digi-Key is my favourite supplier and the application or web interface is so convenient I agree. They also have a distribution center in Canada and I can get parts 2 days after my order at my home door with no extra shipping price.

Keep us posted on your long build;)

Regarding the now obsolete Sanken darlington bjt used as drivers in USSA-5.1, 5B , 3.1 and 3B, I am testing another driver (mosfet) which is readily available (at least now:rolleyes:).

This version under listening test is version 5.2.
Next version on the bench will be 3.2B or 5.2B…

I still have several pcbs available for those interested.:)
