Notice that this gadget only removes mechanical hum from the transformer.

It does indeed stop transformer hum - but I also believe it has quite a significant impact on the sound (in a good way).

I got my 3, thank you. I usually hard wire mine.

I agree DC Blockers can make Amps with Toroids sound better as the DC offset can saturate the core of the Toroid, causing it to perform badly.

If you read the documentation, it will be a good start but the suggested values will fit your need although with a bit overkill. Notice that the current only is important here. Max voltage is only 4 volts regardless of mains voltage.

Is there a suitable ABS enclosure other builders have used?

The ones I can find are too small.
If I use a metal enclosure is this OK if I earth it properly?
What sort or insulation board should I use under the PCB?
