Now that would be fantastic! Would the glued edge look good though?

I suppose you could use some clear rubber gasketing and then bolt them together. It would be interesting for sure.

I'm still hung up on how to get the shape exactly the way it needs to be. The only thing I found that is close to a "plan" is that graph paper picture CambshireGordon posted.

The Seb:diy:audio page has quite a lot of details about he went about building his spirals. If you click on the graph in the middle of his instructions it should appear enlarged. Yes it is tedious to copy/transfer the spirals onto the panels, full size, but that is how it is!

You may also want to look at the original Cornu site - (It is in German) - found here -

Ahhhh, thank you. I didn't know there was an enlarged version of the graph and when it was small I didn't know it was divided into cm squares.

You're right, it looks like it would be VERY tedious work but it could yield some very intriguing results. It is also appealing because they can be hidden as paintings on a wall if the wife thinks speakers are an eyesore.

In this picture on that site the base of each of the spirals is sealed to the front baffle board. How exactly do you seal it to the rear baffle board? Do you just lay some glue sealant on the top of the spiral, clamp, and hope for the best?

I think you are correct about applying the sealant. Sebastian I believe, also used a nut-and-bolt at each corner to "clamp" and hold the whole together. Of course, precision is needed with the width of the spirals to make sure that they are equal and even and that there is no air leak i.e short cut for the sound to take. And the front and rear panels do need to be completely flat and not bowed out. I guess a number of clamps is called for!
