My finished for now Tang Band W8-2145 floorstanders

I do so like blonds! ;)

edit: For future reference, [ML]TLs have their bending modes in the vertical plane and ideally should have as unimpeded a path as practical, so in lieu of all those restrictive 'holey' plates, either make the type 'X' frame 'holey' bracing cum driver support like Dave p10/Chris are fond of or do like I do and make a 'skeleton' of it with vertical boards/scrap on edge along ~71-80% of its height with gaps to the top and bottom plates plus either a closet rod or 2x2/whatever scrap riser behind the driver to brace/mass load it and tie the top and bottom together, then tie the four side braces to it with an 'X' cross brace to keep it from 'breathing'.

jordan eikona 2 vtl

Jordan eikona 2 vtl using the standard plan made from 18mm Baltic plywood finished in Osmo oil.

Sound good and surprisingly deep.

Attached to Amp camp amps and DAM1021 DAC.

For my desk at home, Tangband W4-2142 in some enclosures I bought on AliExpress, painted red and close off the bass reflex because it was causing problems at around 800 to 1100 hertz, and it wasn't adding anything because I also have a subwoofer.
Below them is a small AMT tweeter crossed over with a 1uF capacitor and 12 ohm resistor in series, it improves the off axis frequency response.
I still have to add baffle step correction.

The stands are bamboo kitchen knife holders from ebay.

HiVi-Tang Band WAW for a Medium Sized Room

So this is my second speaker build, the first being some 20 years ago. Got back into the hobby last year and decided to use the HiVi M6N and the TB W3-2141 full range in a WAW design.

Vented box of approx 21 liters tuned to 47Hz. The pyramid enclosure houses the M6N, and the W3-2141 sits in a horn/ waveguide mounted on top. The enclosures are rock solid and weigh about 55 lbs apiece.

Crossover modeled in PCD is 2nd order L/R at 535Hz with a notch filter to smooth out a bump around 2000Hz.

Associated Equipment: NuForce STA200 Amp, CEntrance dacmini, Luminous Audio Passive Pre-amp, diy cables.
