Higher resolution, wouldn't that be nice?

12-250TC comes to mind for a modern driver---- might be a bit stiff --- wonder if 1/4 inch "hardware cloth" would suffice for the perforated steel sub-enclosure ?

those images are 1500p wide - - Why after a few views does Imgur not directly link them but instead shows a smaller image with "give your post at title" ?

Here they are direct. Page 15 and 16 places are swapped.

Hi Freddi,
I'm constructing an aperiodic at the moment, using a 12-250tc in a simple rear vented enclosure, I might be tempted to try that 1957 version as a second project. Are you going to go for it?

With all the Karlson and horn stuff, there's no space for a new cabinet - it would be a lot of fun mucking with vent damping, impedance/response measurements and tweaking with music tracks.

With proper bracing it should be a good way to go.

There are some options for an aperiodic speaker, but one thing is common: They are great for current-drive. Without aperiodic it would not work very well.

Thanks for the article, freddi.

Stapling a damping sheet of, say, fibreglass directly over the rear of a driver is a well established way of lowering its Q, but Fig.11 in the article takes it an interesting stage further.
