Mark Audio CHR-120 6 1/2 inch full range speaker driver

I had a CHR120 for a month. Temporary listen to it in a small box ~23 liter, about 0.8 ft^3, And I like it a lot. So the proper box has to be built. I am searching for low bass, but fast and not boomy. FH Joan, Classic 56 liter vented box standmount designed by Dr Scott Lindgren and Pensil120 is in my mind. Any suggestions would be helpful!

If you prefer solid bass, and you need fast and not boomy bass sound, I recommend the TQWT with Damp-Duct.

I would suggest Joan, Pensil, then the CGR i haven’t done yet, and then Scott’s Classic BR in that order.

This is because 15 mm is strong enough and inexpensive.

Prime reason is 15mm tends to be harder to find & diyers often tend toward overkill. Our goto was 15mm. The CHR-120 does need 18mm baffle to support a properly rebate.
