Double size box, extra octave?

I'm currently just adding the finishing touches to my sealed mini monitors. These are based on the Pluvia 7 drivers, which suggest a ~4L enclosure as a minimum and that's what I've been working towards.

So, for future projects I'm wondering what the relationship of box size has on the lower frequencies, or more specifically I'm wondering if it is as simple as, if you double the volume of the box, can you expect to get an extra lower octave of frequency?

Not that much, and also depends on speaker compliance ("elasticity").

If speaker is very loose, meaning main "spring" opposing movement is air inside closed cabinet, doubling cabinet volume will near an extra half octave extension.
Now is speaker is very stiff, air compliance is not the only defining factor, and downwards extension will be less.
