Might it be the difference between European/American settings? Things like which decimeter to use etc.
I use updated versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I tried using the default settings at first as I'm trying to convert my brain to the admittedly more straightforward metric system. I still find myself converting metric into feet/inches in my head, though. I wonder if it's Java or Flash-based? Flash is going the way of the dodo and Java has intensified its default security levels over the years. Those have been known to cause outdated websites to fail on modern browsers.
