I like a lot of full ranges, too.
The paper is the best material for the voic coil former, but do not support very high temperatures.
With the news papers, this do not occurs...
See this article...the PHY-HP speakers use Vellum paper...and cost 1500 euro each !

Thanks for the PHY-HP link, a nice factory tour. THe PHY-HP 12 inches already over 3000 euros pair, Gulp!
