Just a quick question with probably a very long answer. For many years I have been dissatisfied with the "sweet-spot" problem and how this restricts seating arrangements. I came across the standard design Fostex "tall-boy" design and wondered if it can be modified to increase the sweetspot by fanning out the Mid-treble drivers (FE85's IIRC). This idea came from Elliot Sound Products hybrid ESL isobarik bass loudspeaker. http://sound.westhost.com/projects-b.htm

Rod Elliot fans out his ESL panels left-to-right (+20degrees, +10, -10 and -20) to increase horizontal dispersion. Is there any reason this idea shouldn't work with a mini-array of suitable small mid-range(full-range drivers) like the '85s? Only difficult part is the carpentry.
