Good day....
Gentlemen.... (and Ladies?)... I'm learning and learning anything about audio....
just recently my head is stuck on the relation of amplifier damping factor and speaker Q
why speaker with overdamped characteristic, lowish Qt (like Fostex FE206) prefer amp with high output impedance, which is normally have low damping factor.
Then... would speaker with higher (most of bass reflex system) or highis Qt (sealed system or Visaton B200 driver) would prefer higher damping factor (and ofcourse lower output impedance)
Is there a mathematical corelation between them?
