Now I see why their parts are out of stock everywhere. Good thing I managed to grab a few AK4490s before they were gone, but this puts an end to any ambitions with AK4499 :/

According to an Asian news source, “ AKM's production lines will not be fully operational until March 2022.”

And it looks like they are taking requests for samples for the 4490,4493, must be close…

They did a press release in Feb stating q2 this year

Looks like the AK4490R, and the AK4493S will be the reasonable parts moving forward, however there’s been nothing offered that I am aware of.
Maybe next year…

Yeh check out ASR, they've reviewed a handful of new AKM chip equipped dacs.
