Hello all again and I wish you a good and prosperous year 2020!

I have a new test (again), 2 files recorded through various opamps and would like to ask you if you can hear a difference. The music samples are in 96/24 format, encoded as 32-bit wav. The download link is

Dropbox - boston.zip - Simplify your life

You do not need to sign-up to dropbox, just click on the arrow top right and select Direct Download. Do not try to play wav files from dropbox directly, it is impossible, as they are packed in a boston.zip file.

As always, ABX result would be highly appreciated and regarded, but is not a necessary condition.

Enjoy!

So I finally had another re-listening session, I am not going to be too analytical or peeking at spectrograms etc. but saying that I think am hearing a difference (no ABX though), at least file B seems to sound "meatier" somewhere in the mids while A sounded "cleaner", the first 15 seconds are most revealing.

Pavel, are you ready yet telling something more about the two file samples?

Interesting comment, and yes, I am going to disclose it.

Both samples were recorded with
Audio Buffer in english
the version described at the bottom of the page, with output series resistor R10 = 50ohm.

The differences:

1) Boston11 has TL061 in the left channel and OP27 in the right channel.
2) Boston22 has AD744 in both channels.

The channel with TL061 is about 6dB noisier than the channels with OP27 and AD744. The OP27 channel almost does not differ from the AD744 channels. Integral values of samples in all channels do not differ (peak, avg etc.), we may say they are identical. Direct subtraction shows difference between TL061 and AD744 channels, maybe a slightly longer delay of TL061 (due to its lower GBW) is reponsible for it. The difference in delay of TL061 vs. AD744 is only about 200ns.
