I used a 150ohm resistor. a 10A BJT NPN transistor with a heatsink. and a 10k potentiometer
hooked it up to a 5v power supply. and to a small DC fan motor that draws around 300 to 600mA and it works great and controls the motor speed!
very simple circuit i didnt even solder anything I just used 6 jumper leads and it works great and so simple too!
transistor only gets warm with the potentiometer in between full and off
resistor cold when its off barely warm after 5 minutes of being on. transistor cold when full on or full off.
