Yes, and you need not only low non-linear distortion, but also to keep tonal balance, in other words flat on-axis response and nice off-axis decay of frequency responses with off-axis angle, in other words power response. Classical big orchestra is a proof of the audio system reproduction abilities. Hopefully, there is enough of good recordings of classical music.

Think remember either in part 1 thread or part 2 thread one of your prefered better DAC's used was a Cambridge DacMagic, and in DacMagic Plus turned up this morning with objective numbers over at ASR site thought it could have your interest : )
