Default Playing (Having Fun) With Junk!

I need some advice..

I'm messing with an old car Cassette/AM_FM in dash unit. I'm "Trying" to interface a Bluetooth receiver to it through the audio cable that is (was) connected to the play back head. I have the function switch from radio to tape figured out BUT having major issues trying to get the Bluetooth output to work well through the head input.

The pick up head(s) has a resistance of ~300 ohms per channel. I have tried loading the input down via resistors and isolating with capacitors. Added an isolation transformer between the Bluetooth and the input but.....

Help Me!! I'm missing something..

Thank you, sir..

Tried that and the fidelity was not good. Very limited bandwidth. I passed on that. Quick and easy but....

The output of the heads feeds a tape preamp stage which provides high gain and NAB pb eq....it needs to be bypassed.
What chips are in your player, or can you provide a schematic ?.

Dan.

Thanks, Dan..

It's really not worth all of that. It's an Audiovox unit from the 80's. I found it in a pile of stuff I have in the back room. Planned to build a going fishin' radio on the cheap.

Maybe I'll look at an FM modulator and pump the Bluetooth in that way..
