How to remove variable cap from a radio

I'm trying to restore an ancient transistor radio Telefunken Partner 1. Anyone knows how to release the variable cap from the tuning dial? It seems to have one screw that keeps it in place. I suspect that the brass Telefunken logo on the dial is the screw, but I'd like to confirm before trying to open it with a tool, it's a bit stuck, so fingers alone don't help.

The centre part of the dial may just be a push fit and can be levered out. There will probably be a screw underneath. However, sometimes the whole dial is just a push fit onto the variable capacitor shaft.
