Hi, I am currently trying to improve sound from my jvc kaboom portable boombox comprising of two sub woofers(each end, 20 watt 7 ohm) two front 4 inch front mid/high- range speakers 10 watt 16 ohms. I wish to add two tweeters that I have scavenged from a now defunct Laptop. They are 2 watt, 3.5 ohm each and I want to wire them off the speaker cable to the midrange speakers using passive compnents(capacitors and resistors)After trying online crossover calculator I am thinking of using a 5.5uf capacitor and a 1ohm resistor to each tweeter. Any comments or advice from someone experienced would be much appreciated as I have never attempted anything like this before. Also, how to physically wire in the tweeter. Many thanks.
