hi,

because my pc is 180° on the other side of my room than my tv, i have the following problem: my dolby surround 6.1 is installed for sitting on the pc! but if i turn myself 180° to look in the tv (which is connected to my pc), than my front speakers should be my rear speakers because they are now in my back!

so i search a programm/plugin or whatever which can switch the rear speakers to the front and the other side round.

THX alot guys

It's unclear as to which signals you'd like to swap.

1. If you want to swap the front/rear audio outputs of your soundcard, I've heard of a software that can do reverse audio. I don't know if that's the same as swapping the front and back or not. Do a search on http://groups.google.com. Alternative is to use a Y-splitter cable to feed the 6 channel signal to two separate 6.1 inputs in your receiver. Have you check out Sound Blaster? It might have what you need.

2. If you want to swap the channels on the SPDIF digital signal. I do not know of any.

3. If you want to swap the speaker outputs on your receiver, then you can use 4 DPDT relays to do that.

so what to search for in http://groups.google.com? what words should i insert there?

i want that i can swap the front to the rear and the rear to the front. i doesn´t matter to me in which way that happens, the result is what counts for me :D i have the soundblaster audigy and i dont see any usefull programms on the creative labs site or let me say i dont know how the name of something like this ist. unfortunatly i dont have 2 different 6.1 inputs. i use the chinch audio cables... the problem is that i dont know of what to search! if i google, than i can only write "rear front switch programm" or similar. but there i found nothing because i dont use the right words.

maybe you can help me out with name programms or tips how to google right! that would be really great :)

turning my head will cause that i look in my monitor again and my tv is in my back :xeye:

I typed in "reverse stereo" and a few pages down is this link

http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=...%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=90&sa=N

The link to the software is http://www.svet-soft.com/index.shtml
It's AudioSphere. There's a free copy you can try, but I tried it and it didn't seem to work.

Why not try a hardware solution? How about buying two 2-channel extension cables and then manually plug in the front-rear output to the front-rear input of the receiver, but then you have the problem of the left-right channels are wrong. So maybe you should just buy yourself 2 DPDT relays (or 2 DPDT switchers) and build yourself a switcher. It's pretty cheap and simple..
