I wonder -- what are the pitfalls -- I have two identical distortion analyzers -- examine the distortion of the source and the amplifier at the same time ?
With two you can look at the distortion residuals before and after on Trace R and Trace A of a spec analyzer.
fwiw -- I love my super-oscillator -- when shielded and run from batteries there are no distortion residuals for the 10kHz signal -- but the output is far from as stable as I would like.
