Used scopes...

I have used 3 TEK 485 scopes over the last 32 years. I love my 485, it is one of the best scopes ever made. I also have a TEK 7633 analog storage scope. I have used one of these, off and on, for 29 years. It is pretty good, but I don't use it much. I have big Hickock military scope, originally with Vietnam dirt inside it. It takes 2 men to move it, and finally I have a TEK 585 scope with 'traveling wave' drive, and it gives the best spot of all.

Kind of slow. Had a 3'' scope that slow once, but I gave it away, when I got something faster. Not a good first choice.

I loved Tek 556. True double beam, with trans. and valves. IMHO the best analog scope. Worked with 7844 then, and it was not that good. I needed fast recovery after heavily overloaded, operating in high EMI environment.

high EMI environment -- did you have one of these on the 7844?

it's an EMI screen from a R7704 which I parted out --
