buying a heat air gun.

Hi there

I have bought a heat air gun for soldering, beause it needs to be not expensive and good quality I did buy this one on photo.

It is very good quality and it heats very well, I remove a chip very fast and easy.

worth by it, I think it is almost as good as a professional like hakko.

I need because in winter I go start build something.

Ohh yes for etching and using negative film, here some nice read stuff, a simple withener find here or in supermarket do work as a developer.

I use previous version of the one in the link below for 3 years, I’m happy with it, it’s great value for price. This is clearly not intensive usage intended but ok for my DIY projects. I received it with a spare heating element.
Main concerns were :

  • plastic stand is very weak, after it broke I had to fix it with some glue and wood plate
  • connector to cable link has to be improved (I put some tape) which seems to be the case on current model.

I have bought one, a double, with a iron also. Does come from spain, so will ne not long before it is here.

Hot air pistol is the same as all the others, so I think it will work fine.

Needed because I have a build who has smd, I have also made a vaccuum pick up tool from a air pump, reverse it, now I can pick up smd parts with ease, I do cover a hole in the seringe with a vinger and open it when in position letting go the smd on place. Works nice.

Hi All

I have the soldering station received and test it, does well, soldering iron is heated up in 20/30 seconds.

How it will do in the long term I do not now, buld build is oke, with good parts like a stepping potmeter.
