Thanks rayma but I do have the service manual and have looked at the section on how to but that description does not show the handle. In section 10 they have a picture of the handle and shows the handle attached from the inside. It appears to me that the handle is holding it. I hope someone that has worked on one of the 2000 series Tektronics that has removed the cover with the handle attached. I have pulled with pliers on the case with no success. Something appears to be still holding the cover on.
I don't think the handle is your problem. Have you checked the diagram after p. 10-4?
