Tube tester and noise test

Hi,

I have a "basic" tube tester, a Superior TV-11. I can test for quality, short, open, noise... I made some noise tests with a earphone without any result. I only ear hum. Even with a microphonic tube (remove from an audio amp)! I tap on the tube and I can't ear any microphony! A noisy tube is not detectable in this test too.

Questions are:

Can I test tube for microphony with my tester?
Can I ear a noisy tube with the noise test (tube that make hiss in my amp)?
My tester is too cheap? Maybe!!

Jean-Francois,
I'm not familiar with this tester, but when it has a noise test mode and a headphone output, you should at least hear tapping on a (microphonic) tube.

Maybe this test mode is unservicable ?

Check at least the manual for what it is capabel of.
