Default EQ1616D build

Completed the power board of the EQ1616D. Not difficult, but there was a glitch in the directions.

The parts list of electrolytic capacitors on page 5 does not include the 1000 F 25v capacitor, or mention location C108. The diagrams on page 8 show location C108 with this capacitor. From the top view of the board on page 8, it looks just like the 1000 F 16-25v capacitors at C107 and C109, so its easy to miss the difference.

Thanks - can you explain a bit more about the MC transformer upgrade? How will the signal path from be different when compared with the stock EQ1616D (ie what component of the stock build does the lundahl replace)? Have they been doing this lundahl upgrade in japan?
Many thanks!

WE replace the FET MC amp inside EQ1616.
The MC amp is located at the top right corner (near the RCA input jack)

I see - thanks! So the MC signal is bumped up to MM-like signal strength by a FET based amp, and then that signal bumped up to line level by the tube based amplification? Meaning that by using the MC transformer you are removing solid state based amplification from the chain?
