Where does one pick up the 5 volt DC supply to the usb module, from the 8200 board, if one does not wish to power the unit from the PC usb port? This appears to utilize the jumpers at 1,7,9 for "self" power as opposed to "B" for usb 3.3volt sourcing.
Most of the little manual is in Japanese, so I may be misconstruing how the component is to be used. The output from the DAC utilizes a 3.5 mm minijack which connects to another minijack next to the 8200 amp's Line 2 RCA inputs, (inactivating them when it is engaged) |

I read these instructions for the 8100, but it seems to me that is a different device, the minijacks on the back of the 8200 obviate the need for the shielded cable piece in the instructions you made for the 8100, if I am not mistaken.
I just wanted to pull the power for the little board from the amp, rather than from the computer via usb.....seemed more efficient, although i may just be ignorant. |

TU-8100 requires shielded cable. TU-8200 use the 3.5mm male to male cable
