Is the only difference between the 8200 and 8300 the 300b tubes on one and a headphone jack on the other? I loved listening to kt66 tubes through the tu-8300 and would love to recreate that with the tu-8200. Thanks.
TU-8200 is 6L6 SET amp (OPT is quite small)
TU-8300 is 300B/6L6 amp = no headphone
TU-8600 is 300B (superior than TU-8300) speaker/headphone

It looks like you modified my post instead of replying, I missed it! My question is does the TU-8200 sound like the TU-8300 when using 6l6 tubes? I'm considering it for a headphone amp because of how good the TU-8300 was. Thanks.
I am not modified your question.. I want to tell you the big different between these 2 amps.
Of course not. TU-8300 does not have good sound with 6L6GC. Also TU-8300 does not have headphone feature. TU-8300's OPT is double the size and weight of TU-8200' opt...
