Hi jackinnj,
thank you for the information.
I build some amps with D3A and one amp with 6J52P. The sounding of the 6J52P is in no way inferior to the D3A.

For new builders:
Langrex in GB sells D3A from Siemens, goldpin, for 18 GBP. I think, the price is okay.
They have more than 1600 pieces in stock.
I think, we can build some more amps.

For the people, who has problems to get DN2540 or problems with quality:
Have a look to bartola valves. You can get much information about CSS and alternative semiconductors.
