True but the toffee seems to have been coated / encapsulated to prevent you seeing what flavour it really is !

Just upgraded my Raygulators til Super-Raygulators by adding a gyrator / VBE and changed R2 to zener stabilisation with temperature compensation. It became a bit crowdie as you can see. Just made with standard components - the gyrator cap will be changed with something better.

I had the same response from National the other day, and I was ordering LM1672s.
It was my first attempt and I used my hotmailesque account details - so I assumed it was to do with me. Perhaps not.
Maybe they're hoping you'll all buy expensive LM394s for your discrete output stages instead?
