Looking at buying some mundorfs to replace the tsups much benefit? and also a few other mods while i have the lid off.

Alan, yes it is the anolog phono output sockets I need. The pin layaout on the Marantz type is different to the replacement parts from CPC. ie the earth/ground return pin is in the wrong position on the replacement socket..........................Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yep, I love em! I only use Mundorfs SI (well Audio Upgrades SI - its the same cap!) in my own players.

I think Brent was waiting for some stock when I last spoke to him. I need some more myself!!

Swapped out the op-amps today and put some sockets in. Had some AudioGD (Earth) discrete op-amps lying around that have seen various duties in CDs and Dacs. Seem to make quite a difference. How good are the JRC op-amps?

Has anybody else done this and if so is it worth it?

The schematic shows the +5v out, but not the trace for the +voltage in or grd. Is it just a matter of reading the schematic and figuring it out for yourself?

I'm not sure what extra reg that is, but you can add over 20 potentially. The more the merrier!

I haven't been on here in a long time what's some of the best sounding op amps that some of you have found to sound good in the 67SE? I think I'm running LT1364 OP AMPS in mine at this time. I've done quite a few of the other mods to it already. Thanks for all info!

Mine's a 63, but I'm personally very happy with LM4562HA on BrownDogs. I tried swapping one channel out for an original JRA recently and the HA was clearly a step above. That's with HDAM bypassed and lots of filter & PSU mods.

I'm still loving the sound of my awesome flea-ridden, screen-dead player, btw. There seems to be a worldwide drought on suitable display transformers, so I think it's going to be like this for a while.

The LME49720HA is also the same. You can fit them into std sockets without any issue.

The std 8 pin dil version LME49720NA is also very good and is pretty cheap. I'd give these a try if the HA versions are a bit too pricey for you. Another thing that will have a significant effect on the sound are the PSU rail caps in the middle of the opamps. I tend to use Rubycon ZLG here as they sound similar to ZA's and are very cheap! Either 220uF or 470uF.

Its always a good idea to fit quality sockets so you can easily roll opamps.

Heck, I said I have LT1364s in mine but, the more I think of it I may have the OPA627s on Brown Dogs in it I'm going to have to look I guess. Thanks for the tip on the ones you're using I'll have to check into them I've been out of the game for quite some time.
