Wiim Pro has no USB port which is a definite showstopper of the concrete wall type for me. If connectivity and wireless are priority instead of minimum standard sound quality and playing back own files then it probably is a good choice.
You were right about the Ifi Zen Stream, Jan. I won’t even spend another sentence on that one. Also Volumio and its Ifi version are not my cup of tea. The Primo is jittery via SPDIF so not the best in performance. Maybe the recently introduced new devices are OK but their variety seems confusing. Expensive too. It seems a hard task to find a sub 1000 Euro device that has both excellent hardware, software, very good sound quality (internal DAC) and an app that does not annoy.
In a strange mood I obtained a second Elac DS-S101-G for heavy modding. After all the try outs IMO still the best (overall).
