I am trying to diagnose an issue with the above. The player powers on and the display comes on. However, the cd transport is completely unresponsive when any buttons are pressed either on the front or the remote. The drawer will not open or close. The disc does not spin when I try to insert one manually.
The display on the front reacts to the buttons pressed, such as the numbers if I press them on the remote or facia but the cd transport makes no sound or movement.
Is there anything that is likely to cause this? Could it be a dead laser?
