Hi, I am looking at buying 2 MINIDSP DDRC88D boxes for my Home Theater. I will be biamping 5 channels, and the rest will be for my Atmos, and subs. The MINIDSP DDRC88D boxes are capable of 6.1 via SPIDF, and I would lime to take the HDMI output from my AVP, and send all the audio Channals to SPIDF. My idea is to take 5 channels from the HDMI cable, and send it to 1 Optical, 5 more from HDMI, and send those to another optical. If this is possible I could do 2 opticals, and that would cove me or 5 speakers biamped, and 4 atmos channels.
Would this work? Has anyone seen a product like this? Any ideas on how you would make one?
