I have a small collection of classic high end Sony CD players which use the TDA1541 DAC:
Sony 227 ESD - Twin TDA1541A-R1
Sony 333 ESD - Single TDA1541
2x Sony 337ESD - Twin TDA1541A
Sony 337 ESD (older) - Twin TDA1541
The service manual for all of the above list the DAC chips as 'N5' e.g. TDA1541 -N5 in the 333 etc.
Does anyone here have any information as to the significance of the 'N5' code?
