I have recently replaced the cdm 12.1 laser mech with a vam 1202. It reads TOC but will not play the first track on cd's. It immediately skips to half way through track 2 and the plays the rest without fault.
I have tried another new VAM 1202 from another source, but still have the problem.
I have lubed the rails, but still the same.
I have read a similar thread on hear, and it was suggested that the rear of the laser block could be catching the cd. If this is the case, is there any adjustment on these mechs?
