What do you mean the clocks sound the same when you use a battery? I'm not trying to criticise, I just probably didn't understand your phrasing...
As for your PCBs, I checked there, maybe it was yesterday, maybe a few days ago (can't remember), and they were out of stock, now that they're back I'm really considering it, they look nice.

uhhhh, the same, it means I could not tell the difference between a naked XO oscillator and a XO clock completely built up with the low noise power supply etc etc WHEN used on a 12 V Battery as power source..... So my conclusion is that in case of a Battery you can do without extensive power supply for the clock oscilator on the PCB, as this was "critisized" earlier in this thread....
