It is easy to find a wide range of SPDIF receiver ICs (digital audio interfaces) for DA converter IC's. Cirrus Logic (CS8412-CS8416-CS8420), Yamaha's YM3623 and NXP's TDA1315 are examples.

But for the opposite function (i. e. SPDIF transmitter IC's) I have difficulties to get an overview.
The reason therefore is, each manufacturer has its own term therefor. NXP/Philips call this kind of ICs "ADOC" (Audio Digital output circuit) and Cirrus calls it "Interface Transmitter".

I have found only the follow (Datasheets not available by NXP):
PCF2705P (NXP)
PCF3523P (NXP)
CS8406

In the attachement the internal simplified schematic of the PCF3523P. In the service manual of the CD-15 from Marantz there is to find the simplified schematic of the PCF2705P.

Who knows currently available types with support of various input formats except only I2S ??
Thank you for your advices.
