Hi All
I have a PIII 700, 512Mb RAM, Sony 52x CD ROM, LiteOn CD Burner etc...etc...etc.
I have just got a SoundBlaster Live Value and Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 speakers.
Connecting the speakers to the card is easy enough but could someone tell me the best way to connect the 2 cd drives to the SB Live.
Both drives have analogue and digital outputs and the card has inputs for :-
CD Audio - analogue
AUX
CD SPDIF - (Whatever that is ??)
I would like to know which drive should go into which input and the difference / benefits of using the digital outputs.
Many thanks
BH

Thanks fo the replys chaps
Just to clarify something - should I connect the CD-ROM Digital out to the CD SPDIF on the SB.
Would this give improved quality over the CD Audio connector.
If I did this would there be any conflicts with connecting the CD burner to the CD Audio.
I suppose what I really want to know is what are the benefits of digital over analogue ?
Many thanks again.
