I got the old s7000 with 1.05 sys firmware and so I can switch it to region free player. However, it is a NTSC model and can play NTSC disc.
Long time ago, I read an article about s7000 and it can be changed to PAL or other system by circuit modification (add a jumper or resisitor).
Does anyone here has the s7000 in PAL? I just want to have an idea what resistor is on the pin 89 of the IC (far right top when the front of the player toward yourself, under the audio board which is not a sony chip.) As I know the resistor on Pin 88 is for region code changing and 89 is for the video system....
Mine s7000 has no resistor on this pin.
