There are some threads about digitizing vinyl

My main application for A/D now is digitizing my LP collection.

I already have a Behringer UCA202, which is very popular and sounds reasonably well. But it's only 16 bit 48KHz, and I wonder if a higher A/D resolution wouldn't sound better.

I also have a Tascam DR70 recorder, which it is high resolution, but I would like to find an external, line level, A/D box.

Evaluation A/D boards are an option, but none seem to have USB interface.

I had a look at people who bought the EMU in Amazon, and there's lot of people who didn't like it or had problems with it. Low approval rate: more than 30% bombed it.

It's not cheap in my country either.

Perhaps something better from Behringer?

My concern is the input preamps, as most AD units I see have mic preamps which I do not need.

Perhaps something like the BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC204HD might do? It's 24-Bit/192 kHz. I don't know how good are those Midas preamps they use.

Just picked the Behringer as an example.
