I found it on the China shopping site. It looks like they have created pads for resistors on pin 11 so it's possible to switch between FIR and IIR filters. I preferred the latter... I reckon this might be a bargain DAC. Anyone know jitter specs for SA9227 ?

Uses a charge pump also...
Used one in an in-the-wall wireless system for my mom a few years ago, doesnít sound half bad for what it is.

Had to wonder what you could do with it, maybe adding a buffer, or trying to ditch the charge pump and use a real power supply if thatís at all possible.

I added an AD8397 to the PCM5102a I had a few years ago. I used it with a pcm2706 USB receiver so it could plug into my phone, but actually I very rarely used it because with ear buds (Etymotic HF5) it was barely any better than the phone's DAC/AMP. That was not the fault of the DAC tho. And for phone stuff, the DACs have got tiny. Example:
?Mini???TYPE-C???????USB ??? ??96KHZ????-???
