A little better. There is also conducted EMI/RFI on ground and signal lines. The vertical shield might help some though. However, if you put the board in a metal case then reflection of radiated EMI/RFI off the inside of the top of the case might make the vertical shield wall less effective.

I use a solid CNC aluminum case that fits the board, so the shielding effect is more effective

Always thought to try to wrap linen around relevant parts put pva glue on and sprinkle mu metal particles onto it. Custom shielding so to speak.

LP5907 has lower noise than ADP151 and costs less than half.

Believe me there is nothing like the LT3042/3045 for high quality dacs except outboard super regulators of Jung or Salas types.

it's also a very good option, but for me the power supply doesn't need to be super low noise.,just split the multiple lines so they don't interfere with each other.
Sound companies too, they do not use extremely low noise sources, too low noise sometimes makes the sound boring.

The question of course is do you want to built a cost effective dac or one that punches way above the Chinese offerings that use the same chip. Go with onboard LT3042 you can't reclaim with the best analog stage what you lost in the dac.

every power supply has its own beauty so there is no such thing as the best power supply only the one that best fits a certain design and how good it is for the listener

I made a comparison on my AK4490 dac analog supply.
6.6v A123 paralleld with 3 Maxwell 350F in series against double LT3045 fed by same Lifepo4 batteries.

The LT3045 was audibly better. Why? I don't know but it taught me a lesson.

You replace it on a china dac or a high end dac, trust me if you try it on a high end dac the results may not be what you want

For best performance LT3042 is needed only for AVCC (ESS dacs) and Vref (AKM dacs). LP5907 works fine for all other power supply pins.
