Signalyst DSC1

Very bad result.
What are transformers? What is the measurement scheme?

I use transformers China 10 k/10k.

I setup measurement flow setup!

Looks like the Lundahl is defintely better than the chinese 10k, no ? I mean, we talk about resistors costing 100$?...I would not go cheap on the transformer then...or better not use a transformer at all and directly go on the grid of a tube...

i bought the dsc2 pcb and a pair of transformers from diyaudio member thuanth43 back in december 2018, only start to build the dac now, while trying to install the transformer, i realized did he sold me the wrong transformers? it's size is too big to fit the footprint of the pcb, even with some bending of the legs of the transformer, and the impedance of the transformer is 2k not 300ohm.

Yes, i use load 4,7k, 10k...
It is not good in dsd i2s with hight than 192khz!

This xfrms are good. Before any load aplied to the secondary, please go to the RC network to fix the ringing. With square w. 10KHz-15KHz to 20KHz. C should be smaller as can be R should be hugher. Trim values to eiminate ringing. BUT with real amalog generator resistance just same like DAC output before trafo. You can use the same analog output, just disconnect DSD dac section...

This board has in the same time DSD and I2S outputs. DSD output is always the same value regardless of input dsd OR I2S format. And of choosen output I2S format sampling rate jumper selection. SCK of DSD is always about 3.xx MHz. If I remembered well? Please measure with a scope. I am using that board for mesaurements of DSD because all of the measurement software generators have only I2S outputs...

(BTW the sound of this PCM5xxx on the board is awfull, but that is just for the sideshow. Board is good.
, well built, and with solid manual test options.)
