non-audiophile here, but enjoy playing flac files from my PC (linux-crunchbang). I like my diy speakers and t-amp (no optical input) and want to use with external (diy kit?) DAC setup to drive my speakers and if possible my headphone amplifier.

anyone recommend an external dac kit (some soldering experience) for a low budget?
