Universal Power Supply PCB... How is the quality?

I'm having a very hard time heating up the pads. Not sure what's going wrong since I never had this problem. I'm using a Hakko FX888D, increased temp to 750 and used flux galore. Don't know what the problem is.

The only thing I can think of is that the pads are more of a film than a pad.

Suggestions?

If there are large areas of copper they act like a heat sink.
And if its 2 oz. copper then its even worse.

I found this with a recent build of a different PCB - I wasn't used to having such large copper traces sucking the heat away from the iron (I too have the Hakko).

Make sure you have a decent amount of solder on the tip to assist in heat transfer. I found that running circles around the hole with the tip helped to get an even heat applied and eventually the solder flowed nicely without any track damage.
