Modushop will be in the house 9/30/18

Hi Folks,

I just heard from Gianluca at Modushop, the company manufacturing our very own ACA chassis, and am delighted to learn that they will be in attendance at our event. Not only that, but they'll be donating stuff for our raffle and showing some of their new products. Join me in welcoming them to our event!

Question about exhibiting DIY projects

I belong to an audio club in northern California. Our members thought we might bring a system of DIY components to exhibit and play. (amp, pre, speakers, etc.) The stuff can get pretty bulky; so I'm wondering if there is going to be space and power where we could set up a system in the morning and keep it in there until we were ready to leave.

BAF'18 photos

Anyone coming to BAF'18 planning on bringing a camera? It would be great to get some pics of our attendees, our DIY creations and our general hijinx/cavorting about.

These photos could be posted on our thread, allowing us to re-live the special day throughout the year, entertaining those who can't make it this year and further motivating those who may attend in the future.

We hope to have at least one or two shutter-bugs among us!

I just swing a power strip around my head!

But seriously, generally attendance is “around 200 people” but they come and go during the day so there’s enough people for good energy, but not enough that it’s frantic and chaotic.

So far no one’s been turned away due to crowding and I doubt it ever happens. The final lectures only accommodate about 110 people but so far there’s been no problem as all 200 people aren’t around at that time...

Question from a newbie to BAF. I am bringing some bits to share, so I am guessing there will be table space available.
If I want to listen to some of the guest speakers, do I just leave would I brought out, since I won't be there to demo them or just walk away and hope for the best?

If you leave them on a display table with a label and description you can cruise around and check stuff out. That is what everyone does and as far as I know it's never been a problem.
I'm gonna bring something to display and that's what I plan to do.

Drpro,

Yes, there will be table space to show your creations and Mark has volunteered to help steer folks with components into any one of four demo rooms.

You'll meet your room colleagues then and will likely agree to having at least one person in the room most the time. In the event that you'd all like to attend the same lecture presentation, you'll be able to find someone to hang out in your room and keep the tunes rolling.

You'll be with good, positive fellow DIYers and in the past there has never been a problem.
