Class D Amp Photo Gallery

Very nice setup Stéphane...do you have any idea if anyone makes a wider enclosure, wide enough for say...9-10 modules? I have big plans for an Atmos/Auro Amp. I know I could stack 2-5's, but I'd like to have them all in the same housing.

Thanks,
Cory

I have just put the lights in it tonight for added night time listening.

Its based on a Ta2024 module from ebay for £3.88.
For the price I am impressed with it. I have given it a transformer that came out and old slide projector.
The big blue cap came out some scientific gear I was asked to recycle, its a 22.000uf.

I have reused the chassis from a Philips tuner and have used the tuning knob as a volume control.

Very cool setup

David vs. Goliath. :D

I have just completed this tonight.

Its based on a cheap ebay board.
Its housed in a up-cycled piece of medical equipment .
I am running it of a laptop psu.
I think for the price of board its a good sound

JLAudiophile-250D in 2109 Aluminum Chassis
Nice. You have a lot of electronics stuffed into the enclosure. I have one that I'm trying to decide what to fit inside and how best to do it. Seems too small for 2 amp boards with external driver devices, a PSU PCB and a toroidal, but clearly you did it! But I'm sure I'll figure out something out to put in it.

I hope these boards are not claustrophobic... :D
Just kidding!

What are the dimensions of the selected enclosure?
Do you mind providing a link?

Thanks!

Haha, I'll replace the transformer with toroidal type for more space and better internal temperature. I'll repost pic later.

Internal dimensions 6.3 x 9.7 x 3.3". Just search 2109 aluminum chassis in eBay or aliexpress.

I drilled small holes under chassis so that the air can flow inside.
I've put the power (blue) and clipping indicator (red) just under the front plate.

Thanks! I think using an SMPS can free some space inside. :)

film camera amp

latest ta 2020 amp.

I went to a car boot sale today and came home with a 8mm film camera made in 1973 for £3.
I pulled its mech out and the ta2020 fits nicely inside.

I have a high power led that fits behind the lens and projects light out ,as a power indicator.
It looks great at night with light coming out!
