I can join to gallery with my mini amplifier. Made with same MAX9709 that doctormord use.
Case isn't so beautifully from inside, but I like the finished case (which is from broken SSD).

I'm about to embark on a multi-channel Class D build using Hypex UcD modules. Trying to find a decent case for multiple channels is a nightmare so I decided to build one from scratch. I've only seen the ncore case that looks good in my eyes but wanted something cheaper to house cheaper UcD modules (it gets expensive having 8x ncore 400 modules!).

Protocase (both UK and US based) can make cases to your design and pricing is quite good for an entirely custom job.

Just a couple of renders of a case design to house some Hypex UcD modules.

Quad 180W version (I know I have the wrong PSU in place!):

Is that a store bought amp? Looks like it the way the RCA jacks are connected. More info and lighter pictures please. :)

PopPulse T-AMP180 using two TA2022 chips

Both channels driven: 2x120W/8Ω (0.1% THD+N), 2x90W/8Ω (0.015% THD+N)
2x180W/4Ω (0.1% THD+N), 2x140W/4Ω (0.015% THD+N)

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Finished(?) project

This amp is the CDA-254L kit, plus another CDA-254 module. I'm using corcom power entry module which incorporates emi, fuse and switch all in one unit and a case from parmetal. Plugs were all from Apex JR. I thought it was finished, but a purchased a slow-start board... which on second thought I might replace the toroid/slowstart/psboard all together and goes SMPS. The 400va toroid is already (I think) a bottleneck.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Distortion figures will go up at high power levels. Try read NewClassD designguide or TI TAS5630B designguide (or any other designguides for that matter).

Rule of thumb is as short as possible and as thick as possible.

Well what do you know, I didn't think the length of the power cables would make any difference to the sound as long as they weren't causing direct interference.

Many thanks

50W portable audio aka "Mr.Curious".

Amp: MAX9709 Module

Lautsprecher:

- Yamaha Basschassis 4Ohm "long stroke" (data)
- Isophon Mid/High 4 Ohm (no data)

Crossover:

- Capacitor 10uF (~4kHz)

Sound is crystal clear with good ground support. (for its size)

My little Sure 15W Amp running with two Denon SCF-107 at my desk.
The sound is so lala and i have to erase a high frequency noise from the ps capacitors (a 6A Laptop PS).
Maybe I`m going to change it through a 3116D2, enough space should be in the case.
The case is made auf stained, american hazelnut veneer.
The front "lighteye" is going to get a front panel out of metal that you cannot see the crappy extract, like on the back for the RCA In.
