Could u Plz tell me what is the best comparator scheme from the 3 mentioned topologies.
1] Single Comparator + cmos IC to get 2 out of phase signals as in Crest LT schematic.
2] Complementary Comparators generating out of phase signals
3] Differential Comparator giving out of phase signals
I have told this to TI also , They say complementary comparator is best choice because its resolution is double as compare to differential as the complementary comparator uses 2 X 2 [ audio+triangle]to GET PWM, whereas differential comp. only uses 1 X 1 . Secondly they say that the output of differential comp is not very symmetrical as compared to Complementary Comp.
