I am currently designing a HiFi Class-D amplifier. I've run through some revisions on my old design, but want to upgrade my amp IC. Because I have a digitally controlled amp in mind (so a SMC/uC, display, ...) I see the TAS5414 fit with it's I2C interface for configuration and diagnostics.
My question is regarding the sound quality of the IC, has anyone experience with this IC (sound quality wise)?
I am aware that all the components and design of the whole amp matters and influences sound quality, but what would be the best I could achive with such an IC?
Also, I know that this question is kind of hard to answer, because sound quality is a very personal opinion, but usually if someone thinks an amp sounds good it would fit for me to.
